Trip to Austin

A little over a week ago, we took a trip down to Austin, Texas. The purpose of the trip was to show Jayden the city so that he could begin to understand the concept of moving, and we also wanted to try to decide which suburb that we would like to move to. We were gone for five days, January 12-January 16, and we had such a good time. We are so excited to begin our new adventure. And, we have almost completely decided that we want to try to find a house in Round Rock. We will return to Texas in a few months to try to find a house to purchase.
Jayden was so excited to be going on a trip!

A beautiful sunrise on our drive to Texas.

Jayden and Chris at the Texas Welcome Center. Notice the snow on the ground...it was so cold!

Jayden and I at the Texas Welcome Center.

Jayden was so excited when we arrived at our hotel. Housekeeping had made towel puppy dogs and put them on our beds. :)

We drove into Austin the first day so Jayden could see the city. This is the Texas State Capital. It is huge.

The outside of our hotel. We stayed at the Staybridge Suites. It was brand new and so nice!

We ate at Chuy's in Round Rock. It was delicious...maybe my fav Mexican food ever! And the prices were so reasonable. If you come visit us after we move, we will be taking you here! :)

Chris had to take a drug test before he receives his moving bonus. So, like a genius, he went to the bathroom right before he had to take the test. Here he is chugging water trying to make himself have to go.

He finally was able to take the test. :P

National Instruments entrance. This is the reason we are moving to Texas.

National Instruments. Chris will be working on the second floor.

Rain. They say it is sunny 300 days out of the year in Austin, and it rained every day that we were there. Blah.

On our last day there, we took Jayden to the Austin Children's Museum. We had a great time, and he especially loved it.
